Pakistan on Thursday carried out strikes against "terrorist hideouts" in Iran, a day after warning Tehran of "serious consequences" over its attack on the Balochi group Jaish al-Adl's headquarters in its territory.

Pakistan Army today struck several targets in Iran after Tehran launched similar attacks the day before, in an escalation of tensions. Codenamed 'Marg Bar Sarmachar', Pakistan said that the operation was against militant hideouts in Iran.
