CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Mecklenburg County says supply of the vaccine is higher than ever, but demand is lagging.
More than 50 percent of North Carolinians have at least one dose of the vaccine. But in Mecklenburg County, itâs only 30 percent, according to state data.
Now the county is ramping up on a new approach. Theyâre brining the vaccine to the people. Weâve seen partnerships like this already where the country is bringing their clinics to social events on the weekends.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The husband and wife who were killed in a mass shooting in Watauga County are being remembered as prominent members of the Boone community.
Authorities say a man killed his mother, stepfather and two deputies during an hours-long standoff in Watauga County Wednesday. A third officer was also shot in the standoff.
