太平庄东里社区共分通尚苑、蓝爵公馆等4个居住小区。其中，通尚苑小区于2001年入住，是一个老旧小区，也是入住居民最多的小区。
“就拿通尚苑来说，入住20年，设施陈旧。去年夏季，社区接诉即办中心光接该小区的漏雨报修就40余单。”赵连杰告诉记者。今年3月，一场降雨导致6户居民家中出现漏雨、房屋渗水等问题。居民通过社区服务卡上的电话反映报修信息后，太平庄东里社区居委会立即联系物业入户查看，维修人员爬上住宅楼顶，仔细查找漏雨点位。雨一停，维修人员便为楼顶重新铺设防水。前后仅用了半个月时间，6户漏雨房顶全部修好。
为防止类似问题再次发生，社区居委会将辖区内的所有顶楼巡查一遍，主动查找漏雨点，并进行了两轮集中维修。“这次大雨，没有一户居民报修漏雨，这也证明居民家的漏雨房顶维修效果不错。�
