Man kills sister, injures mother for honour in Nowshera

NOWSHERA: A man allegedly shot dead his sister and injured his mother for honour in Dagi Jadid in Pabbi Town on Thursday.
Nasreen, wife of Musharraf Din and resident of Dagi Jadid, in injured condition told the police that she along with her husband and daughter Ruqia were present at her home.
In the meantime, she said that her 30-year old son Ismail came and opened fire on her daughter, killing her on the spot.
The complainant said that she also sustained injuries in the firing while her husband escaped unhurt miraculously.
Bank heist bid foiled in Nowshera

NOWSHERA: The security guards and personnel of Police Rider Squad on Thursday exhibited exemplary bravery while foiling a bid of robbers to loot a private bank in Pabbi Town.
District Police Officer Muhammad Iqbal said that four robbers broke into a private bank in Pabbi Town at about1:00pm and snatched the bag containing a cash of Rs21 million at gunpoint from the cashier. He said that the guard promptly rang the alarm bell and at the same time opened fire at the robbers.
In the meantime, Head-constable Shakil and another cop of the Police Rider Squad rushed to the spot and engaged the robbers.

NOWSHERA: Two patients died of Covid-19 while 85 more tested positive for the viral infection in the district on Thursday.
With the new casualties, the fatalities from the coronavirus reached 78 in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Mir Reza Ozgen said that a woman of Pabbi Town and a man identified as Noorul Basar of Badrashi, who were infected by the Covid-19, died while struggling for life athe Qazi Medical Complex. He said that the number of coronavirus-infected patients were increasing with passage of time as people were ignoring
the SOPs against the viral infection. He said that 85 more suspected patients tested positive for the coronavirus that took the number of patients suffering from the viral infection to 3,945. He said that 3,006 Covid-19 patients had recovered after medical treatment in the district so far
