July 27, 2021 NOWSHERA: The number of coronavirus-infected patients reached 5,638 as 34 more persons reported positive for the viral disease in the district on Monday. Deputy Commissioner Mir Reza Ozgen told reporters that the infectious disease was fast spreading due to the non-observance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).He said that 34 more suspected patients reported positive for the Covid-19 in a single day while 5,293 patients had recovered from the fatal disease after medication. The official added that 234 active cases of coronavirus were registered in the district so far. He expressed concern over the sudden spike in the coronavirus cases and appealed to the people to follow corona SOPs to stem the viral disease and save precious lives.The official said that the virus could spread and infect more people if they did not adopt safety measures against the virus.
