are nervous today. we ll talk to two of them today. what the heck is going on, shannon? according to a report from the response team there was a sophisticated hack on a u.s. public utility yesterday. we don t have specifics about which company and when they were targeted but here s what we do know. dhs does acknowledge there was unauthorized access to the utility but it was able to work with the affected entity before there was any actual access to the utility s operations. generally we do not publicly hear about attacks like this one but in this case it was part of a report issued by dhs. interesting side note, investigators believe that the utility had likely been hit by previous attacks or probes. the security of public utilities, electric grids, all of that is of growing concern across the country and on capitol hill where they have been hearing testimony about this. it appears the latest intrusion on a public utility was done via an internet entry point. something that
