The department of public works says they sent two shifts of drivers out last night one at 9pm and another at 11 pm to finish clearing main streets and side streets. Crews are still out and about in Milwaukee County. We checked in this morning with other counties in our viewing area. Were told roads in waukesha and racine counties are looking good. Main roads in kenosha are also in good shape but side streets are still snow covered and plows are still out. Working in washington and walworth counties. I43 in ozaukee is clear, though plows are still out clearing streets in ozaukee county. Over the weekend the snow meant a lot of people chose to avoid the roads all together. Snows fine. The president elects visit earlier today. This is Donald Trumps first visit to wisconsin since election day. And it comes just 24 hours after the states historic recount was completed, officially certifying trump as the winner in this state. The governor tells us he will be talking about that recount, putting it in the spotlight, when he takes the stage here tonight. First and foremost i want to , thank everybody who was involved in the recount. I want to thank them for gettin was able to say we were completed in time for the electors to go forward. And then, my optimism, my hope as ive said since the election any number of times, is that with a new president , with a house and senate, with a majority of about twothirds of all the states in the country, we now have republican governors and republican state legislative majorities, and now its time for us to deliver. The speaker is not getting into a twitter battle with donald response to trump calling ryan weak, ineffective and disloyal, a ryan spokesman issued a very brief, and very direct statement. Without mentioning donald trump by name, the statement from a ryan spokesman says, paul ryan is focusing the next month on defeating democrats, and all republicans running for office should probably do the same. Ryan made similar comments to fellow House Republicans on a Conference Call monday, the speaker said he would no longer defend trump and would focus on congressional races. Wisconsin congressman reid ribble was on that call, and says ryans position is unchanged. This is a status quo move for paul ryan. This is what he has
