COVID-19: Indian Navy launches mobile oxygen generation plants ANI | Updated: May 20, 2021 22:57 IST New Delhi [India], May 20 (ANI): Amid the devastating COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian Navy on Thursday launched Oxygen on Wheels - mobile oxygen generation plants mounted on trailers that can easily be transported to remote hospitals. Designed and developed by the Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam under the Eastern Naval Command (ENC), each of the two plants have the capacity to generate 100 litres per minute and are designed to provide a direct feed to any hospital s pipeline system. The plants were inaugurated by Vice Adm AB Singh, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief ENC.

YSRCP MP Margani Bharat Launches Oxygen On Wheels -Mini Mobile Hospital For COVID Care May 13, 2021, 18:21 IST EAST GODAVARI: Rajamahendravaram YSRCP Member of Parliament, Margani Bharat inaugurated the Jagannanna Pranavayuvu Ratha Chakras - Oxygen on Wheels buses, which will offer critical care treatment at the District Government Hospital (DGH) premises at Rajamahendravaram in East Godavari district. The mini mobile hospital will treat patients who are in need of critical care until a bed is allotted to them in the hospital. The YSRCP MP Margani Bharat said that each bus has a capacity to treat 40 patients and will run under the guidance of the DGH staff and doctors. Two buses have been prepared for this purpose which will have oxygen supply and function like mini ICUs. Those who have difficulty in getting a bed or oxygen in the hospital will be kept on this bus and treated. The mobile hospitals will be parked on the DGH campus for the patients there. BMTC Launches Free Oxygen on Wheel For COVID Patients Waiting in Bengaluru

May 13, 2021, 14:59 IST The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), along with NGOs has launched the ‘Oxygen on Wheel’ initiative at Victoria Hospital on Thursday.  This initiative has been taken up in order to provide oxygen to Covid patients waiting near hospitals. The transport utility has tied up with several NGOs, including Foundation India. It modified a non-AC bus into an oxygen bank with two concentrators and four cylinders, which will attend to six patients at a time. A similar facility was started in Chennai by Jain International Trade Organisation. Also Read:  Officials said, The bus will be placed at Victoria Hospital from Thursday, 10.30 am to 6 pm. It will be free for people on a first-come-first-served basis by calling 9731007191. We are planning to convert more buses based on the need and if more NGOs come forward.  

Mahindra Logistics launches Oxygen on Wheels in Maharashtra

Mahindra Logistics on Tuesday launched, Oxygen on Wheels (O2W), a free service to augment the availability of oxygen by connecting producers with the hospitals and medical centres. The service has been rolled out in cities such as Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Chakan, Nasik and Nagpur in Maharashtra with the company deploying around 100 vehicles to overcome the transportation bottleneck with safe and quick transportation to deliver oxygen cylinders on demand, a release said. The service will be helmed by Mahindra Logistics, which is partnering with the administration and local government bodies on this project, Mahindra & Mahindra said. The company also said it is in discussions with the civic administration and government departments to extend the service to other cities as well, including Delhi, which along with other states is facing an acute shortage of medical oxygen.

O2W is launched in Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Chakan, Nasik and Nagpur with over 100 Mahindra vehicles ferrying oxygen, at the present. Discussions are ongoing with the civic administration and government departments to extend this free service to other cities as well, most importantly to Delhi, which is facing an acute shortage. Given the overwhelming response in the past 48 hours, extending this initiative to deliver oxygen cylinders directly to patients’ homes is also under consideration.
