CSIR-CMERI Oxygen Enrichment Technology for the MSMEs to step-in for an Oxygen Sufficient India

  New Delhi: An awareness session on Oxygen related technologies was organised through digital platform by MSME – Development Institute, Jaipur in association with CSIR – Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur on 04.05.2021. Prof. (Dr.) Harish Hirani, Director, CSIR-CMERI delivered the Chief Speaker’s address in the programme. Mr. Sanjeev Saxena, Additional Director of Industries, Govt. of Rajasthan, Mr. V. K. Sharma, Director, MSME-DI, Jaipur, Dr. Rohit Jain, President, CIDA, and Mr. Mahendra Mishra, General Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharti including100 number of MSEs, entrepreneurs and industrialists participated in the said awareness programme.   Prof. Harish Hirani, Director, CSIR-CMERI emphasised upon the use of Oxygen Concentrators which has the potential to be the life saver. Share Cuttack: In a series of webinars for dissemination of awareness on the Oxygen Enrichment Unit developed by CSIR-CMERI to the MSMEs and other entrepreneurs, MSME DI, Cuttack conducted a webinar on 30.04.2021 amidst the crisis of Oxygen. Prof. (Dr.) Harish Hirani, Director, CSIR-CMERI delivered the key address in the seminar. Mr. Pawan Gupta, Director, MSME, Cuttack and Mr. S. K. Sahu, Asstt. CSIR-CMERI transfers Oxygen Enrichment Unit tech to Hyderabad company

April 23, 2021 × Research on to develop pulse dose mode capable of sensing the breathing pattern of a patient and then deliver during the inhalation only To meet the oxygen supply chain problem of transportation and storage risks related to oxygen cylinders, CSIR-CMERI has transferred its Oxygen Enrichment technology to the Hyderabad-based Apollo Computing Laboratories. Harish Hirani, Director, CSIR-CMERI, in a statement said the unit requires easily available oil-free reciprocating compressor, Oxygen grade zeolite sieves and pneumatic components. It is capable of delivering medical air in the range of up to 15 LPM with oxygen purity of more than 90 per cent. If required, this unit can even deliver up to 70 LPM at a purity of around 30 per cent and can safely be placed in the isolation ward of the hospital for patients who are in dire need of Oxygen.
