At least 10,000 gallons of sewage has spilled. There are signs here posted warning people to stay away because this is all happening right behind homes on huron drive. This could go on for days. The problem being a cracked 14 inch sewage line. Its a big fix. Wssc is working to redirect the waste water around that pipe. Theyre setting up temporary pipe from the leak to the nearest manhole. Blaze. It happened about 8 00 this morning. Its a twoalarm fire. Additional fire ambulance and medics all this equipment was brought to the scene. We were told a firefighter was transported priority one, that means Critical Condition can lifethreatened injuries. We later found out he died. Also we were told about other serious injuries. The second firefighter was transported serious but nonlife threatening injuries and another reported serious with nonlife threatening injuries. All i know i work to an alarm going off in the building. I came to look outside my door there was smoke everywhere. Now, ira evans lives next door on the ninth floor, in exdoor to the building where the fire broke out. He says an elderly woman lives there. He saw her briefly.
