The former Spitzer Motors Property on Park Ave West in Mansfield has been sold to a company out of the Toledo area. RichlandSource.com reports, the sale for just shy of $430,000 was recently filed with the Richland County Auditor’s Office. The building was built in the 1950’s and the plan is to see it demolished and construction of a brand new convenience store go up later this year or sometime in early 2022.

Absentee/Early voting will commence Tuesday April 6th, 2021, either by mail or in person at the Richland County Board of Elections, 1495 W. Longview Ave., in the lower level classroom. The closest entrance is in the back of the Longview Center by the “Vote Here” sign and flag. If you enter through the front entrance, you must take the stairs or elevator down to the lower level. Those who have requested absentee ballots by mail will have their ballot mailed out starting April 6th. Absentee applications to vote by mail are available by going online to: https://www.richlandcountyoh.gov/departments/public administration/board of elections/absentee voting.php or by calling the office at 419.774.5530 to have a request form mailed to you.

The Richland County Commissioners on Thursday voiced their concern over the recent rise in COVID-19 cases across the state. Commissioner Tony Vero said he keeps track of the COVID-19 cases in the county on a spread sheet.RichlandSource.com reports the Richland County Commissioners criticized Governor Mike DeWine’s office for their lack of communication over the last year of the pandemic, saying they have not communicated with elected Richland County Officials.
