Tale of two protests
In 2014, I was arrested in front of the White House with a group of clergy and activists in peaceful protest of the draconian deportations of the Obama administration. D.C. Park Police surrounded us and ordered us to move. When we refused to move, armed police, mounted police, squad cars, buses and wagons surrounded us. The police announced: “You are now under arrest. Do
