A 25-year-old man died early April 29 following a single-vehicle accident in Brookfield Township.
According to a press release from Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson, shortly before 7 a.m. April 29, officers were called out to Brown Road, just south of Kilmanagh Road for a single-vehicle accident reported by a passerby.
“A passerby traversing through that area had just come across a full size pickup, overturned in the deep ditch, which contained two and a half to three feet of water,” the release read.
Hanson said firefighters from Owendale, assisted by a wrecker company, removed the male from a 2004 GMC pickup truck. Kyle P. Marker, formerly of Holt, was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
