West Ham are keeping an eye on Town midfielder Owen Garvan, according to a report in one of this morning s tabloids. The Dubliner has been a regular in the centre of Town s midfield this season and also made his first U21 appearance for the Republic of Ireland.
Jon Walters and Gavin Williams are slight doubts ahead of Tuesday s home game with Leicester City (KO 7.45pm). Walters picked up a dead leg during the second half of Saturday s game at Charlton, while Williams came off in the first period with a sore toe.
Town came from behind to win for the first time this season as second half goals from Jon Walters, Pablo Couñago and a Liam Fontaine own goal saw the Blues to a 3-1 victory. Earlier Stern John had put the Robins in front, while Alex Bruce was red-carded on the hour for a two-footed lunge.
Goals from Lee Croft and Matthew Pattison saw Norwich to a 2-0 East Anglian derby victory over dismal Town. The Blues rarely showed anything like their top form, but should still have gone in front just after the break, but Jon Walters failed to take advantage when one-on-one with the keeper.
Town again were left ruing missed chances after drawing 0-0 away at Bristol City. Jon Stead, Owen Garvan, Jon Walters and Pablo Couñago all missed good opportunities for the Blues, while ex-Town striker Danny Haynes hit both posts with the home side’s best two chances.
