Covid19 Update: CM Arvind Kejriwal Extends Lockdown Till May 31 in Delhi May 23, 2021, 14:03 IST
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that the lockdown in Delhi will be further extended by another week. It will now be till May 31, 5 am. The CM came on this decision as the positivity rate in Delhi is coming down.
The positivity rate has come down to 2.5% and the number of daily cases being reported is also less. Delhi reported 1,600 fresh cases in the last 24 hours. Since the people of Delhi cooperated, the cases are coming down, to further keep help the rate to decrease, it is necessary to follow these strict guidelines for some more time.
The country is already in turmoil owing to the increase in Covid19 cases. Now India is facing a new disease called mucormycosis or Black Fungus. The Black Fungus infects COVID patients only. Hyderabad: Zomato and Swiggy Resume Delivery May 23, 2021, 15:34 IST
Hyderabad: Food delivery apps like Swiggy and Zomato were shut for a day in the city amidst the lockdown. On May 23, they were allowed to resume services after a talk between Director-General of Police (DGP) Mahender Reddy and Police Commissioners. Swiggy resumed its services after the relaxation hours were over.
But these delivery apps were not allowed to be fully functional and deliver food from only a few restaurants. Zomato gave an update about this on their Twitter handle saying, “We are operational in Telangana today with limited restaurant and delivery partner supply.”
Identify Black Fungus As Epidemic: Centre To States May 20, 2021, 15:38 IST
New Delhi: Centre asked all the states to declare mucormycosis or black fungus as an epidemic. The Union Health Ministry sent a letter to the states and asked them to identify the mucormycosis disease under the Epidemic Diseases Act .
According to the report, any case of Black fungus has to be reported to the health ministry. Confirmed or under testing, all the cases should go to the ministry.
Health Ministry Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal in the letter wrote that “All government and private health facilities and medical colleges have to follow guidelines for screening, diagnosis, management of mucormycosis.”
Leading Renewable Energy firm Greenko donated 200 oxygen concentrators to Govt. of Telangana. The oxygen concentrators which reached Hyderabad in a special flight from China were handed over to the Govt. in the presence of Minister KTR and Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar at Shamshabad Airport today. Speaking on the occasion, Minister KTR said that the Govt of Telangana is taking
