kind of an impact. i think i called it incredibility earlier. we know a lot of these investigators are inkredably hard workers so this probably is a punch in the gut to them. are they wanting an apology from some of these republicans? i wrote a piece for the hill and talked about the secret society piece of this. generally speaking, senator johnson and representative gowdy, they re solid individuals and they have legitimate concerns. this was a clear overplaying of their hand. now, i always caution folks, i became an fbi agent in 1991. we didn t have text messages. but throughout my career when cell phones and personal electronic devices became more common, that became part of investigations. so not only using title roiii apigations would you listen in on telephone calls, you would also get the text messages. i learned early on, you have to be careful to take something out that fits your narrative. we think that guy is guilty, there, that s it. you have to have things to
something. people may say this is just verbiage because it puts the honous now on republicans and the white house to do something about daca. now the democrats that s true because it wasn t a back-door deal that was said in private. this is something he put out before the american people. i agree with ron. it s just the nature of our government. it s often a winner take all system. the republicans control both houses of congress and the white house. if they don t want to help daca recipients, it s not going to happen. they say they want no and that s why the democrats and flake and graham were right to push this to the brink. now you re saying democrats may be overplaying. i think what you have now is an opportunity to keep the pressure on while having government function and reminding the american people
