it certainly is, john. there s never going to be another tom brady. it s safe to say that. he was drafted in the sixth round, 199th pick. those guys are usually people who are fringe guys to even make a roster let alone become a superstar. but that s what tom brady did and in his second season, he led that comeback in the super bowl and beat the rams. really that s when he became a legend. and it s not that tom brady won so much or threw for so many yards. he delivered so many amazing moments for us football fans. that first super bowl, that amazing comeback against the falcons when he was down 28-3. it wasn t just how he did it. or i should say how many times he won. it was how he did it and how he made us feel watching him play the game. i m a boston kid so he is to boston sports fans, he is moses. he led the patriots out of the wilderness to six of those super bowl rings which gets to this part here. we can show you his instagram post. 900 and something words.
when there are millions of people unmasked, happy to go sit next to their brothers and sisters in college football fandom, high-fiving, tailgating, having an amazing time and people can all see that happening on television, it makes it impossible to argue that we can t return to our normal life and that is why i m so excited. i really do think college football fans to a large extent are leading us out of the wilderness and into a free society. one more time. covid is not going away for the rest of our lives. we can t continue to cower in fear. college football fans declared independence last weekend and i hope it continues this weekend as well. sean: when you re talking about sports, the most unifying event, all races, financial backgrounds and you have unifying event, shared passion for a sport, shared passion for a team. tailgating, high-fiving strangers. it s fun, they ruined it.
