The U.S. Courts for the 9th Circuit announced the theme for its annual civics contest Tuesday as “What Does Our American Community Ask of Us?”
The contest offers high school students in the Western states an opportunity to win cash while learning about the role of the federal judiciary.
It’s open to young people who live in the 9th Circuit, including Washington and Oregon, according to a news release. Students from ninth to 12th grade who attend public, private, parochial or charter schools, as well as home-schooled students, are invited to participate.
