An Ottawa tech company is betting that COVID-19 has not killed indoor restaurant dining and that customers are even willing to pay a few extra dollars to snag prime tables at peak times.
Those customers could secure their preferred spots through the new reservation service tablz.com, launched by Ottawa-based Transparent Kitchen. The Tablz website, which links to the existing online reservation systems of restaurants, allows customers to take 3D tours of dining rooms and then pay between $4 and $10 for specific tables when the restaurant is busiest.
