the president is the man who nominated him. the president is the person whose faith he will need through this. why don t they meet? they want to protect the president. this is a fragile nomination at this point. they re standing by kavanagh, but he s in damage control mode, crisis modin side the white house. the president is letting kavanagh defend himself. he s issued his statement of support at 2:15 at that press pool. swin, you had some reporting this weekend. the president believes there is a conspiracy to torpedo the kavanagh nomination. tell me about that. absolutely. i must add in the past year, this isn t even the first time this white house and this president has gone into full-blown damage control over a trump endorsement involving teens. this is an example of that in the past year or so.
