German prosecutors said Friday they have charged a former SS guard, now 98 years old, for complicity in the killings of over 3,300 people at a Nazi concentration camp during World War II.
Josef Schuetz, the oldest Nazi ever to be prosecuted for crimes committed during the Holocaust, has died age 102. He was a prison guard at the Sachsenhausen camp in Oranienburg.
As the world witnesses a rise in anti-Semitism, racism and hate, “there is tremendous urgency to build better and more informed citizens,” the museum states.
