Josef Schuetz, the oldest Nazi ever to be prosecuted for crimes committed during the Holocaust, has died age 102. He was a prison guard at the Sachsenhausen camp in Oranienburg.
Irmgard Furchner s conviction yesterday comes after that of Bookkeeper of Auschwitz Oskar Groening (above) in 2015. He was tasked with counting money taken from Jews at the camp.
The shocking testimony came in the ongoing trial of 97-year-old Irmgard Furchner, a former secretary at the Stutthof concentration camp during World War II.
Speaking during the trial via videolink from the US, Asia Shindelman described the horrors she witnessed at Stutthof camp in Nazi-occupied Danzig, now in Poland.
