Ahmedabad: According to hospital authorities, 80% of the patients who come to the hospitals to get admitted are in need of oxygen.
Amidst the surge of positive patients and shortage of beds, there were many complaints made around the city where patients were denied admission. One such patient was Sudhir Jadav, a resident of Prabhat Chowk, who died at Civil Hospital on Friday morning.
“His RT-PCR report was negative. But he had developed extreme breathlessness on Thursday night. We called EMRI 108 at 9 pm to hospitalize him and were told to wait. My daughter took him to AMC-run hospital in a private vehicle but they declined to admit any patient who was not brought by 108 ambulances,” said Sudhir s wife Raj

Gandhinagar: Gujarat High Court on Thursday, on a suo motu case on COVID19 situation in the state, said that the state government should make people aware of when to take Remdesivir injection. You should make people aware about when to take Remdesivir injection, said Gujarat High Court.
The court further asked the state government if testing is being done in every town, taluka of Gujarat or not.

Ahmedabad: As the number of patients infected by Covid-19 is rising day by day, the number of fatalities in the state is also growing. As reported by BBC Gujrati, the exhaust chimneys at the crematorium are melting because the gas furnaces are burning round the clock.
The report showed that at a crematorium in Surat, 100 to115 bodies are arriving for cremation every day in the last two weeks of April. Otherwise, 20-25 bodies used to arrive for cremation.

Ahmedabad: In the wake of coronavirus spreading rapidly, Ahmedabad reported 6,690 fresh infections on Tuesday, making eight out of every hundred people testing positive for the virus.
The state recorded a total of 3.60 lakh cases. Amongst these 52,000 cases were recorded in the last two weeks of April. Ahmedabad city reported 2,251 new cases.
Municipal Commissioner Mukesh Kumar on Tuesday said, “The private hospitals which have been approved as designated Covid-19 hospitals by the AMC has to provide 20% beds under the AMC quota.”
Manoj Chavda, a resident of Vadaj, on Monday waited for almost eight hours at Civil Hospital morgue for the cremation of his mother, Puriben, who passed away fighting with covid.
