J. R. pam and stevethere are an average of 20 accidents a day on the i80 cooridor. Officials believe that new signs like this could help reduce that number by 25 percent. These smart designed traffic information boards along the i 80 cooridor are now on. Part of a project to try and reduce not only traffic but traffic accidents from the carquinez bridge to the bay bridge. Four things will happen during this project. Onethere will be adaptive ramp meters that adjust depending on the traffic. Two, overhead signs like these will soon look like this. Allowing officials to lower speeds at times and warn drivers of upcoming accidents with red xs. Three, traffic information boards will show travel times and alternate route information. The incident ended with the officer firing his gun just outside of Temple University hospital. Police are not saying much about the incident. But we met with a witness who was speaking about what he saw. Pamela osborne joins us from has the story for us from Police Headquarters in center city. Almost ran into it right there. I ran back.
