Checking into area bridges, some construction there over the walt whitman bridge two lanes heading westbound into philadelphia. And watch for construction over the taconypalmyra, tracy. Happening today, a vote could change driving habits across the area. For decades, new jersey has had the cheapest gas. The gas tax hike could cost drivers an extra 100 at the pump. Its the state senates turn to vote on it. Supporters say the tax hike will pump much needed money into the state Transportation Trust fund to repair roads and bridges. Now, the proposal also calls for cutting the state sales tax from 7 to 6 . That could save an average family more than 400 a year. Today, a man could learn his fate for kidnapping a woman off a street. It is a case that made national headlines. Cameras caught the 2014 abduction on video. This morning, the family of a 13yearold killed on wednesday wants to know where he and his friends got the gun that they are playing with. Police are calling it an accidental shooting. They say a group of teenagers was playing with a gun when it went off and hit the 13yearold in the head. They did find the gun nearby. Neighbors were there and watched as the teens father rushed over to see what happened. I ran, i seen him back there. I went to look at his dad. His dad tried picking him up. It was gory. This child didnt even get a chance to realize his dreams. Police tell us the person who was holding the gun when it went off was 17. Police have not arrested or charged anyone. This is the second accidental deadly shooting in the past week. Last thursday, a 4yearold died after accidentally shooting herself at a home in philadelphia. The girls mother is charged with mother and just this week, we checked with police and theyre still searching for the mothers boyfriend who could also be charged. It could be the first casino strike in Atlantic City in more than a decade. Casino workers last hit the picture line in 2004. That walkout lasted 34 days. 6500 hospitality workers threatened to walk off the job if they cant agree on new contracts.
