oregon s. the president was on the phone over the weekend with european leaders trying to encourage them to avoid some sort of default. how could a default affect my 4 401 x? well if a default causes wider panic in financial markets we saw some of that today. i mean the dow is down about 250 points. huge. so if it precipitates broader concern about the state of the global economy, then it could have a direct affect on you. not so much because you have your holding stocks that are closely related to greece but because it creates a psychological spillover effect. what about the eurozone? that s a big deal. you re saying they doernlt want out of the euro but no. this is lkook it s clearly a problem for the greeks. you have 30% unemployment. whether they do the austerity deal or not, it s going to get worse in greece before it gets better. but it s also a profund also existential question for the european union.
