TALLAHASSEE, Florida – The inaugural ACC/SEC Women’s Basketball Challenge comes to Tallahassee in the 2023-24 season, as Florida State plays host to Arkansas on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
Network designations will be released at a later date. The matchup vs. the Razorbacks is the second confirmed game of the 2023-24 campaign for Florida State Women’s Basketball, with the other being a neutral-site game vs. UCLA at the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase on Sunday, Dec. 10, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State softball had a program-record 12 student-athletes earn recognition on the All-ACC Academic Team released Tuesday. Infielder Devyn Flaherty and ACC Pitcher of the Year Kathryn Sandercock each made their third appearance on the All-ACC Academic Team, while pitcher/infielder Mack Leonard and outfielder Kaley Mudge earned their second academic all-conference recognition. Along with Sandercock and Leonard, senior Ali DuBois, junior Allison Royalty and freshman Makenna Reid gave FSU five pitchers on the all-academic team. Infielders Bethaney Keen and Amaya Ross earned a spot on the team for the first time, as did outfielders Autumn Belviy, Jahni Kerr and Hallie Wacaser. WASKESIU LAKE, SK– Heralded Florida State Men’s Golf Alum John Pak secured his first professional victory on Sunday afternoon, winning the Elk Ridge Saskatchewan Open at Elk Ridge Resort after shooting 21-under (66-64-66-63). It was Pak’s second event played on PGA TOUR Canada, as he impressively closed out the tournament with his best round at 63. The Scotch Plains, N.J., native delivered eight birdies on Sunday, including a crucial one on the 17th hole when he drilled a manageable putt to increase his lead to four strokes. His senior year was a fitting one where he was crowned as the consensus national player of the year, winning the Jack Nicklaus Award, the Ben Hogan Award and the Fred Haskins Award.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla, Florida State’s Paige Kalkhoff, the 2023 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Beach Volleyball Scholar Athlete of the Year, has been named as a Third–Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators. Academically in 2023, Kalkhoff has earned CCSA Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, been named to the CCSA All-Academic Team and earned CSC At-Large All-District honors. She has now earned Academic All-American honors for the first time in her career. The rising senior Public Health major earned a perfect 4.0 Grade Point Average in 2023 – her first season at Florida State. Kalkhoff earned FSU Academic President’s List honors signifying a perfect 4.0 GPA during both the fall of 2022 and spring of 2023 semesters – her first two semesters at Florida State. TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team had nine student-athletes earn All-ACC Academic honors as Vic Allen, Alice Amendola, Anna Arkadianou, Millie Bissett, Olympe Lancelot, Kristyna Lavickova, Kianah Motosono, Ellie Schoppe, and Mila Saric made the All-ACC Academic Team, which was announced Wednesday. The Seminoles earned a 3.69 grade-point average in the 2022-2023 academic year and a program high 3.77 spring semester GPA. The team had nine earn a 3.5 GPA or higher, which included five 4.0 GPAs in the spring season. Academic requirements for the selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade-point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
