Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut on Tuesday withdrew her suit filed in a civil court here against the notice issued by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai for an alleged illegal merger of flats.
The MCGM, also known as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), had in March 2018 issued a notice to Ranaut over a merger of three flats owned by her in the Orchid Breeze building in the Khar area. It was alleged that the flats were merged into a single unit in violation of sanctioned plans.

Mumbai: In a surprise move, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut unconditionally withdrew the suit in Bombay High Court, which challenged notices issued by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) for illegally merging her three flats in suburban Khar.
The actress’ counsel unconditionally withdrew the suit she had filed against the BMC over a demolition notice in connection to illegal construction of her Khar residence in 2018. The suit will be withdrawn within four days, according to a statement by Ranaut’s advocate Birendra Saraf in court.
