GEORGE TOWN: Police have busted an illegal gambling syndicate and arrested 23 suspects including four women at two luxury condominiums at Persiaran Gurney and Jalan Kelawei.
KUALA LUMPUR: More than 17,000 raids and 25,643 arrests were made under Ops Dadu - an anti-illegal gambling operation - between January and October this year.

Kota Kinabalu: A 52-year-old man was fined RM1,300 or two months jail on Tuesday for engaging in an online gambling.
Self-employed Ag Saidi Serin @ Sirin pleaded guilty before Magistrate Lovely Natasha Charles to committing the offence at 4.35pm on Jan 20 this year at a garage in Kg Meruntum, Phase 2, Jalan Putatan Lok Kawi in Penampang.
Inspector Albert Basiri who prosecuted told the court that a police team during Ops Dadu arrested a man, later identified as Saidi for gambling and seized the paraphernalia used in the activity including handphones and RM677 cash.

Investigations revealed that there was “Mega888” gambling application in the seized handphones from Saidi.
