is reporting on all of this, it s slightly different, there s less coverage then we ve seen, it s not really prominent on the website at all and it has been very brief in the way that they re covering this. trying to really link any allegations of false statements to their opinion hosts, as well as to any guests that might have been on the show and not necessarily to the news organisation itself. and yet there has been important reaction to this. there has been but also we have not heard a tonne of reaction from the really key players here. someone like former president donald trump or some of his family members. so it s been interesting to see how this all plays out as fox news appears to be trying to separate itself from this case. fox news has put out some statements regarding this, saying they acknowledge the fact that there were some false statements that were discovered throughout the court process and that the acknowledgement of that
country, is unbelievable i agree with all of that. from my own experience, there are always shows i think that shaded the truth or lied go back to the early 2010s i think that the network really did have this push and pull. they had real news folks they continue to have a couple left over there that are out there doing reporting. the opinion hosts. there was a push or pull in 2015 and 2016, they used to have me on as an anti-trump republican to argue. it wasn t just me. there were others. once trump won, i think that they just really realized that they lost control of the audience they basically shut that down. it went from a network that had a sickness, had some problems, didn t practice perfect journalism, which is an understatement, between 2000 and 2016, to one that became a
hip-hop reference for this. he s talk about why they let mike lindell on the show even though they know what he s saying isn t true about the dominion voting machines, which is, it s not red or blue, it s green. what s so astonishing is you don t often in a defamation case usually they have to prove intent. you have to prove a, they knew it wasn t true and that they had malicious intent. i can t think of another case where you had people in a media organization saying, we know it s not true, and we re going to put it on the air because it will make us money. that s what s the other thing i think is really striking about the new york times leak is that there s been this perception that i think fox news has tried to promulgate that the evening hosts, the opinion hosts might be kind of way out there on some of this stuff, but that the daytime people, people like brett baier are legitimate straight news journalists.
dominion filing, so many revelations in this. he said on january 12th, i believe, right after the insurrection, when ryan believed that some high percentage of americans thought the election was stolen, because they got a diet of information telling them that the election was stolen from what they believe were credible sources. that says it all. that says it all. the people who tune in, actually think it s fox news. but they re not following any of the journalistic rules. the jonah goldberg s and stephen hayes, they re kind of conservatism is gone. the journalists are gone. the ship smiths. 80% of the journalists got jettisoned. exactly. and they started favoring the opinion over the journalists. and the opinion was actively attacking the journalists for questioning the stuff the opinion hosts were saying. we all know, right, that people want to hear what they want to hear. do you tune in to get a
dominion showing murdoch admitting some of the opinion hosts embraced the donald trump denialism after the 2020 election and, quote, i would have liked us to be stronger in zee announcing it in hindsight. even though he allowed his anchors to promote election lies. it is impossible to ever know the true fair accurate election results. reporter: donald trump putting his own pressure on fox. in an ononline post saying why is rupert murdoch throwing his anchors under the table and his viewers are leaving in the droves. that being said, i don t know if it is forever broken, their relationship, should donald trump become the republican nominee, that so going to to be the need for the symbiotic relationship. reporter: the court papers reveal that the chairman wants to help republicans win in 2020. delling a deputy fox helping any way we can in the georgia runoff
