LAGOS RESIDENTS of Osborne Foreshore Two Estate, Lagos, have denied an allegation that they were planning to attack the Managing Director/CEO of Lekki Gardens Estate/Foreshore Waters Limited, Richard Nyong.
Chairperson of Osborne Foreshore Two Estate Residents Association, Mrs. Chinwe Mbah, who described the allegation as false, said that such a thing was only in the imagination of Nyong and his company, noting that the residents have refused to retaliate his constant harassment and intimidation of the residents.
Mbah, in a statement, recalled that they woke up on April 7, 2021, to find out that a heavy-duty construction truck working for Lekki Gardens Estate/Foreshore Waters Limited had blocked “our entrance and exit gates, thereby, holding the residents and visitors to the estate hostage.

John Olusegun Odubela (SAN) is dead

Mr Odubela, Partner and Head of Chambers at Rickey Tarfa & Co, died in the late hours of Monday after an illness.
He was aged 55.
Odubela, a native of Ikenne in Remo, Ogun State, was a former Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology between 2011 and 2015 during Senator Ibikunle Amosun administration. The law firm announced the death this morning in a statement issued by its Partner and Deputy Head of Chambers at Rickey Tarfa & Co, Mr Olusegun O. Jolaawo SAN.
It reads: “With a deep sense of loss we regret to announce the death of our dear Partner, Colleague, Friend and Head of Chambers Mr John Olusegun Odubela SAN which sad event occurred in the late hours of Monday 15th March 2021 after a very brief illness.

Woman arraigned for kidnap of 3 minors

Lagos A 29-year-old woman, Kemi Mebebejoye, who allegedly kidnapped three children, between eight and 11 years, was yesterday arraigned before an Ebute-Metta, Magistrates’ court.
The defendant, whose address was not given, is facing a four-count charge, bordering on conspiracy and kidnapping preferred against her by the Police.
Among the three minors kidnapped by Mebebejoye are two brothers, who are eight and 11 years old respectively.
The prosecutor, Inspector Olatunde Kehinde, told the court that the defendant and others now at large committed the alleged offence on February 20, 2021.
He said the incident happened at about 8 a.m, at the Ifetedo Central Mosque Idi-Araba area of Lagos.
