Vanguard News Woman arraigned for kidnap of 3 minors On By Onozure Dania Lagos A 29-year-old woman, Kemi Mebebejoye, who allegedly kidnapped three children, between eight and 11 years, was yesterday arraigned before an Ebute-Metta, Magistrates’ court. The defendant, whose address was not given, is facing a four-count charge, bordering on conspiracy and kidnapping preferred against her by the Police. Among the three minors kidnapped by Mebebejoye are two brothers, who are eight and 11 years old respectively. The prosecutor, Inspector Olatunde Kehinde, told the court that the defendant and others now at large committed the alleged offence on February 20, 2021. He said the incident happened at about 8 a.m, at the Ifetedo Central Mosque Idi-Araba area of Lagos.

Man 22, parents docked over alleged conspiracy to rape 6-year-old girl On By Onozure Dania A 22-year-old man, Ebuka Nwobodo and his parents were Tuesday arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court sitting in Ebute- Metta, over alleged conspiracy to rape a six-year-old girl. The defendant and his parents Juliet Nwobodo 45 and Boniface Nwobodo 57, are facing a two-count charge, bordering on conspiracy and defilement, preferred against them by the Police. They were docked before Magistrate Mrs O. A. Oshoniyi. The prosecutor Inspector Olatunde Kehinde, told the court that the trio, conspired amongst themselves to commit the alleged offence. He said that the incident, happened sometimes in 2016, at 7, Odunsi Street, Bariga Lagos.

The easing of tension came as the Oyo State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, urged the state government to consider the possibility of relocating the market to bigger site; and governors of Kano, Kebbi, Zamfara and Niger, who visited him, promised to contribute to the rebuilding of the market.
