has left millions of americans scared, and the gop is trying to harness the power of that fear. top republicans condemned the pelosi attack, they disputed that rhetoric played any role, and pointed the finger entirely at the issue of rising violent crime rates. if this weren t paul pelosi, this criminal would probably be out on the street tomorrow. this is what democrat policies are bringing it s a potent issue, the democratic consultants tell me has been effectively used against their senate nominees in pennsylvania, wisconsin, and north carolina, as well as other democrats elsewhere. more than $98 million, this election cycle, has been focused by republicans, on ads attacking democrats on crime, that s about $22 million more then republicans spent on ads attacking democrats on inflation. now each, of course, making the case in 32nd sound bites that democratic policies on crime make us all less safe.
gas in california is like 6 bucks. in nevada, it is about $5. you cannot overestimate how much of a factor that is. $5 a gallon gas gets in the psyche of the voter. it gets really in their pocketbooks, that s where it shows up. just take a look at what is happening in this spending game here. democrats spending $151 million, i mean far and away the top spender on ads, on the issue of abortion. well, here s the problem on that. abortion is not going to be at risk in some of these blue states where they re now most concerned about and where republicans see an expanded math opportunity in new york, for example, and california, rhode island, abortion is not going to be at risk there because it is a state level controlled by democrats. so the spending is out of sync there and in those places the republicans have been investing heavily in ads, for instance, on
he and governor evers goal was to reduce the prison population by 50%. it has been reduced by 15% and the parole commission paroled 884 criminals. 784 violent criminals including 44 child rapists and 270 criminals who primarily committed or at least attempted murder. they were horrific murders. again, those are the truths we are having to get out. we aren t getting help by the mainstream media. they won t tell the truth about mandela barnes or ask him tough questions. i need help ron johnson for senate.com. we need help to get the truth out about my opponent. harris: i know a lot of money has been spent on ads and mandela barnes was asked to try to fight back. the help that you ve been getting has been hitting tv screens all over the state of wisconsin. so he was feeling that. we ll see if the former president barack obama can come
they should be counted on january six. representative all right, does that email just go to the brazenness of trump and his team, and why reforming the eca is so important at this point? thanks for having me on, ayman, i m so glad to be here with my good friend, jamie raskin. and the plan here was to create chaos, and to use whatever method they could to money the waters enough to try to pull off what they knew was against the law. and of course, the electoral count out, which has been much discussed, doesn t need to be it does need to be worked. on and the drafting is far too vague. but there certainly some things as we are going through that process, looking at with the senate is, during have to make sure that we get right. because every step we take to counter attempts to overthrow legitimate electors, will also make it harder for us in some cases to counter when we may get, for example, a full slate
