Muscat: Donations of more than OMR 400,000 have been collected during the last 10 days to support Palestine and the reconstruction of Gaza after the Israeli occupation attack on Gaza.
Since the beginning of the Israeli occupation’s attack on Gaza, there have been calls to collect donations to help the Palestinians and rebuild Gaza.
Dar Al Atta Association launched a campaign for Palestine in cooperation with Oman Charitable Organization and managed to collect OMR 17,205 for Palestine.
The association said: Because we trust your humanity, we invite you to extend a helping hand to the people of Palestine. All donations are collected and transferred to the Omani Authority for Charitable Activities, which in turn will ensure the purchase of medicines and medical supplies needed by hospitals in the areas in occupied Palestine.
Dubai: Kuwait has launched an urgent relief campaign with a target of collecting $100 million to aid the Palestinians in war-torn Gaza, local media reported.
The one-month campaign also aims to help reconstruct Gaza with seven some people donating to build seven new towers in the first hour of launching the fundraising yesterday (Friday).
“The campaign is in line with Kuwait’s commitment to supporting the Palestinians and was launched upon under the directives of the Kuwaiti Cabinet,” said Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs, Hana Al Hajri.
“Charities always organise donation campaigns throughout the year to support Palestine as permanent projects,” she added.

Muscat: Close to 70 families, who faced damage to their property during the thunderstorms on May 5, have started receiving support based on support offered by charitable team Al Balad Altaib and other government funds.
The families live in wilayat Al Khaboura in North Al Batinah governorate. Sawsan Al Yaqoubi, Deputy Chairman of the Development Committee at the Directorate of Social Development in the Wilayat, spoke to Times of Oman and said: “The number of families whose property was damaged by the storm has reached 70. A part of what the charitable team Al Balad Altaib offered has been used to start support for these families.”
