RIYADH: His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said, Sultanate’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, affirmed that the Omani-Saudi relations are firm fraternal relations distinguished by several joint links and mutual respect.
In comments to Oman New Agency (ONA), HH Sayyid Faisal said the distinctive relationship between the two brotherly countries are evidently reflected on various public and commercial levels thus fostering the cultural, social and economic relations.
The ambassador noted that Oman’s Vision 2040 and the Saudi Vision 2030 have many shared programmes in addition to the exchange of expertise between the two countries taking into considerations the peculiarity of each country. MUSCAT: The fishermen villages which are being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries, and Water Resources in the governorates, are among the infrastructure projects which aim to encourage Omani fishermen to preserve their occupation by providing them with the basic requirements in an effort to raise the fisheries sector’s contribution to the GDP and generate job opportunities for the national youth.
The fishermen village project in Masirah Island is one of the model villages of fishermen. With complete services and facilities, the fishermen village has a capacity to accommodate nearly 50 fishing boats made of permanent materials with funding from the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries, and Water Resources.
