KAAL-TV Created: April 22, 2021 07:23 PM (ABC 6 News) - A Rochester man accused in a double homicide of killing his pregnant girlfriend and her two year old daughter has pleaded not guilty. 30-year-old Renard carter pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder of an unborn child Thursday in Olmsted County District Court.  Rochester police found the bodies of his girlfriend Keona Foote, her unborn child and daughter at the Olympik Village Apartments last September. According to the criminal complaint, Carter also threatened to kill a previous partner who resided in South Carolina if that previous partner did not allow Carter to see his children.

A round-up of crime reports from the Rochester Police Department. 9:17 am, Jan. 25, 2021 × The Rochester Police Department is investigating a report of a shot fired after a shell casing was found not far from an apartment building where a family argument took place. Dispatchers received a call about 8:15 p.m. Saturday from a person screaming. The caller was not very forthcoming with information on the phone but dispatchers eventually learned that a gun was fired and that the caller was calling from an apartment at the Olympik Village Apartments complex, according to Capt. Casey Moilanen. Officers went to the complex and located the apartment where the call was made. At the door, officers could hear a woman inside screaming. The woman initially was unwilling to open the door, but eventually allowed officers inside. No one was injured inside the apartment.

No one was injured as a result of the gunfire outside the Olympik Village Apartments in the 400 block of 31st Street Northeast. Police first responded to the property to investigate a 911 call that came in around 8:17 p.m. during which dispatchers heard a woman screaming on the line. After initially refusing to open the door, a woman eventually allowed the officers inside the apartment to determine if anyone was injured.
