SEATTLE - Now 4-0-2 on the season, the #22 Washington Huskies will put their undefeated streak on the line this week, hosting the #21 Stanford Cardinal and 324 California Golden Bears in two Pac-12 matchups. The Stanford game will be aired via the free Washington live stream, while the Cal game will be on the Pac-12 Network.
The Huskies entered the rankings this week, coming in at #22. Washington was last ranked higher on November 3, 2019, when the Huskies came in at #21.
Last weekend, Washington beat Arizona on the road for the first time since 2011, winning 3-0. The Huskies followed that up with a close-fought 1-1 tie at Arizona State. That gave the Huskies their first undefeated Pac-12 road game since 2017.
SEATTLE Colorado relied heavily on the efforts of goalkeeper
Dani Hansen for the second match in a row, but the Buffaloes were unable to muster up enough support for their netminder on Sunday. The Buffaloes keeper made nine saves in the 2-1 losing effort to the Huskies. It s tough for both teams to play basically back-to-back, head coach
Danny Sanchez explained. I was pleased with how we competed today. I thought we did a much better job of competing with the ball. There still wasn t enough going forward for us. We re not quite clicking on the attack yet. When you defend for that long, eventually the dam is going to break.
