COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 23 Ohio State (6-1-3) finished the regular season Saturday with a 1-0 win over Michigan State (1-9-1) at Old College Field at DeMartin Stadium in East Lansing. The Buckeyes have won the last four games, three by shutout and are 4-0-2 in the last six outings.
Sophomore Emma Sears scored her sixth goal of the year in the 5th minute to give Ohio State the early lead and the win.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State junior Garrett Burhenn had another good start and his bullpen backed him up with three hitless innings at the Buckeyes took game one of a huge four-game weekend series with Big Ten leading Indiana 3-2 on Friday night.
The win improves the Buckeyes to 9-7 on the season while Indiana losses for just the fourth time this year and is now 11-4 overall.
Burhenn was coming off his best outing of the season last Friday and he didn’t miss a beat tonight vs. the Hoosiers. He was in control from the start, going six innings, allowing just two runs on three hits while striking out five. He picks up his second win of the season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio –Ohio State (3-5-1 B1G) fell to Michigan State (4-6-0) 1-0 Sunday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in the regular-season finale.
The Buckeyes celebrated the careers of nine seniors during pregame ceremonies. Joe Ortiz, Joshua Jackson-Ketchup, Noah Lawrence, Mitch Bergman, Matteo Bennati, Samuel Buzzas, Xavier Kennedy, David Abonce and Matt Kiley were all honored along with their families and friends for their dedication to the Ohio State program.
The game against the Spartans was played under sunny skies and temperatures in the low 70s.
Neither team was able to mount much of an offensive attack over the first 70 minutes before the Spartans scored in the 73rd minute.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team (15-3) was selected as the No. 9 overall seed in the 2020-21 NCAA Division I Volleyball Championships on Sunday afternoon. As a top-16 seed, the Buckeyes will have a first-round bye.
Instead of having the typical campus hosts, the entire tournament will take place in Omaha, Neb. at the CHI Health Center Omaha. Ohio State will open the tournament on Thursday, April 15 at noon in the second round against the winner of Missouri-South Dakota. Ohio State’s region includes No. 1 seed Wisconsin, No. 8 seed Florida and No. 16 seed BYU.
Jen Flynn Oldenburg is making her first appearance as a head coach in the national tournament. She is the only head coach in Ohio State history to earn an appearance in the NCAA Tournament during their first year at the helm.

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced the 2020-21 Big Ten Men’s Soccer Tournament bracket Sunday, with Indiana earning the No. 1 seed after securing the Big Ten Championship on Friday. The Big Ten Tournament begins on Saturday, April 10, at campus sites.
As the No. 1 seed, Indiana (7-1-0 Big Ten) will host No. 8 seed Northwestern (2-7-1) on Saturday in quarterfinal action. Northwestern and Wisconsin tied for eighth place with identical 2-7-1 records, however Northwestern earned the No. 8 seed based on its 1-0-1 record against the Badgers this season.
Penn State earned the No. 2 seed (6-1-1 Big Ten) and will play host to No. 7 seed Ohio State (3-5-1) on Saturday, while No. 3 seed Michigan (5-3-1) will welcome No. 6 seed Michigan State (4-6-0) to An Arbor, and No. 4 seed Maryland (4-3-1) will host No. 5 seed Rutgers (4-4-0).
