A Delmar man, Randon Wilkerson, has been convicted for the April 2021 murder of Delaware police officer Keith Heacook and assaulting an elderly couple in.

Country music artist and Cape Henlopen High School graduate Jimmie Allen has announced he will play an acoustic show Monday, May 10, to benefit the family of fallen Delmar Police Cpl. Keith Heacook.
The show at the Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door.
“That’s a terrible situation. I’m definitely keeping his family and friends in my prayers,” Allen said in a short video posted to Facebook May 4. “I wish it was a better situation, but we’re going to do what we can to raise money for Officer Heacook’s family.”
