A tragic triple train accident occurred in Balasore, Odisha last June, with devastating consequences, resulting in over 293 fatalities and more than 1,000 injuries. The Ministry of Railways has now revealed the findings from the Commissioner of Railway Safety s report, shedding light on the causes behind the incident.
CBI sources said that the 3 arrested were responsible in the way they maintained the signal, and they have been booked under sections 304, and 201 of the IPC.
Out of 81 dead bodies preserved at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, DNA test reports of 29 have arrived and so far, 19 dead bodies were handed over to the respective families.
