BHUBANESWAR: The name of a police officer, who died last year, was figured in a transfer order on Tuesday, much to the embarrassment of the Odisha Police.
Kampal Naik, who was a subedar in Special India Reserve (SIR) battalion at Koraput, died last year owing to illness.
However, his name appeared in the transfer list of 12 police personnel, who have been given new postings in different battalions in the state.
The transfer order was issued by the state police headquarters.
