WALKER, La. (AP) A south Louisiana police department has sworn in its first Black female officer. The Walker Police Department on Tuesday swore in Octavia Felder as a reserve officer, WAFB-TV reported. According to the department, Felder is the first black female officer on the force. Walker is located roughly 20 miles (32.1 kilometers) east of Baton Rouge.
