First at 11 00, a rock climber has been killed in montgomery county, and we learn that the attempt to save him had to be suspended bougecause of severe storms. We start in bethesda. Reporter this was the staging area along the Potomac River to rescue a rock climber who was trapped under a huge boulder on offutt island. The rescue operation was suspended. The rock climber died of his injuries before he could be freed. Our crews had to seek shelter. We protected the victim. Eight rescue technicians remained on scene.
