I went up to stenson beach and it took until 5 00 in the evening before the sky cleared and it was nice and cool. And we could see the fog starting out early in San Francisco. Seeing it misting and drizzling at times and here our temperatures will stay in the 60s. You head across the bay to oakland. It is in the mid70s and upper 80s for the south bay. And then some mid90s for the east bay. Up in ukiah today, expect a high of 98 while santa rosa will get a little bit of the ocean breeze coming through the mountain gaps and well be in the mid80s. Through the afternoon, we are looking at 92 in concord and then we saw a high of 99, so it is 7 degrees cooler compared to today. Concord is 87 and 74 in oakland and 66 in San Francisco. There are frustrations though with the Distance Learning plan has some parents reported last week that their students didnt get their laptops yet. Attendance is mandatory for students in all of their classes. Abc 7 News Reporter Leann Melendez takes it one step at a time. We know children have less severe symptoms than adults. Inside my nose are receptors and thats how the virus gets into my body and children do not produce receptors as frequently as i do. Kids have smaller lungs so when they sneeze or cough they dont spread the particles as far as High School Students or adults do. Another interesting fact is that size does matter. Kids are shorter and that would mean they wouldnt fill the room. Perhaps the most important point that ucsf want to make that mak, physical distancing and ventilation are key to curbing the spread of the virus.
