Apartments started pouring concrete into a 30 foot deep sinkhole along a beach access trail just off esplanade avenue in pacifica. The trail belongs to the apartment complex and the plan is to fill the bottom of the hole with concrete and then top it off with sand. Sot the city of pacifica said in a statement on monday that responsibility for repairing the sink hole and reopening the beach access belongs to the property owner. But, in the same statement, the city said that new erosion has also been found just to the south of the sink hole along the bluffs underneath a vacant Apartment Building at 310 esplanade. The city says they have contacted a geotechnical consultant to assess that damage. 310 esplanade was yellowed tagged earlier this year due to concerns that the bluffs were becoming unstable. Two similar Apartment Buildings that sat just to the south have already been demolished for the same reason. 310 is now vacant but the fate of the building remains unknown. Nats meanwhile, c
