What i say do not be heading up there the next several days. Roadways will be impossible to travel on its 5 to 12 feet of snowfall will be piling up. Baring everything up there in the upper elevations looking outside the bay area, a much calmer predicament for us. We will be looking at showers but our Flooding Risk is actually pretty nonexistent. Small streams have actually really lowered a lot the past few weeks, which has been good news. So any rainfall just going to drain right into those rivers and streams as it should. Futurecast shows that blue gradually expanding into tomorrow and especially saturday morning as snow level falls to 1500 to 2000 feet. That does mean some snow in upper elevations in the bay. But for the sierra 5 to 12 feet of snowfall in our higher elevations. That is going to completely put travel at a standstill up into the Sierra Nevada. Do not be heading up. Theyre extremely dangerous conditions. Snow is already kicking off and only intensifies into tonight tomorrow and saturday and it is going to take several days crews to get up there and clear all that out.
