This actually started as a pursuit with the San Leandro Police department and made its way into oakland were going to show you a map of where all and where that shooting occurred this is off pippin and apple street in oakland is in east oakland right around the corner from a 100 and 5th. Well police followed a vehicle they believed to be stolen by a driver armed with a firearm this happened a little after 11 00pm last night, the pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed into the rear of an unoccupied parked vehicle. Now police say the driver exited the vehicle while holding an assaultstyle firearms. Thats when the officer with the San Leandro Police department discharged his weapon fatally shooting that man.
