A small section of the bank of Bowker Creek slid by a couple of feet near the Oak Bay Recreation Centre. The soil in the bank gave way and moved down down about 0.
The incidents were similar to two others on Dec. 20 and Jan. 1, when a teddy bear was placed on the sidewalk by the Oak Bay Recreation Centre. In the Dec. 20 incident a man began to talk with a group of girls after the teddy bear was picked up. In the second, he was seen hiding in bushes nearby. Police said what the man did was not illegal. Officers have talked to the 25-year-old man they believe was responsible and explained to him the impact of what he did.
