Fredericton city staff are welcoming a proposal to increase density on the north side, and a plan that could lead to as many as 700 units of apartment buildings and townhouses. "We wanted to have a significant amount of density in close proximity so that kids have the opportunity to once again walk to school," said planner Marcelo Battilana.
The City of Fredericton is spending $250,000 to install 10 electric vehicle charging stations across five locations, and while a majority of council approved of the plan, some councillors said they think it's not worth the investment.
