LG s Life s Good Restaurant to showcase Kenyan culinary creativity

Shares LG Electronics has invited food enthusiasts in Kenya to showcase their culinary prowess in its ongoing digital campaign to show how life can be enhanced through the power of technology and social interaction. The campaign, dubbed LG’s the Spot, is about making cooking and creativity in the kitchen more enjoyable, and has been launched in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kenya, Egypt and Turkey, featuring top chefs who will judge the entries. LG funds 3 projects in initiative to support vulnerable people in Kenya Shares LG Electronics has launched a social impact project to benefit vulnerable groups and children in society aspiring to develop their talents. This includes young children unable to attend school due to poverty, young girls and deaf and dumb children. The project, dubbed LG Ambassador: Social Impact Challenge will identify impactful community initiatives that respond to real problems. The project will also financially support local communities to help them achieve their goals. LG has partnered with Korea Food for the Hungry International, a Christian NGO, to launch the initiative in Kenya. The projects were in different criteria, including effectiveness, necessity, efficiency, specificity and feasibility.

LG partners with Habitat for Humanity to support learners in Machakos Shares Kenyan learners in the Machakos will benefit from an improved learning environment from a project supported by LG Electronics in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Kenya (HFH Kenya). The initiative aims to improve learning infrastructure, water, sanitation and hygiene for hearing-impaired children at the Machakos School for the Deaf and Early Childhood Development (ECD) learners at Kyumbi Primary School. Machakos County Deputy Governor Eng. Francis Maliti presided over the launch of a new library at Machakos School for the Deaf and also launched the construction of latrines, renovation of bathrooms and installation of a borehole water plumbing system.
